endless net is a found-object database in the form of a net — postconsumer waste and re-purposed florist netting, laid as a grid across the gallery floor. Thousands of fragments of discarded plastic, glass and packaging are fixed as nodes in the net, each piece a point in a vast web of interconnection.

It was conceived as a piece of urban land art. The net has Buddhist origins — a web in which every node is said to be a jewel, a diamond. It is, in a sense, a map of the ubiquity, and the surpassing disaster, of what has become part of ecology.

endless net formed part of the waiting room installation at Gallery Gallery, Antwerp (2017), where cushions and headphones invited visitors to sit at the edge of the net and listen.
